Limited Run Games’ latest retro re-release is right up my alley, and these 90’s era Jurassic video games have never looked better. The fantastic assemblage of 8-bit and 16-bit titles offers smooth controls, vibrant visuals and crips sound just like you remember across 7 different Nintendo and Sega games:
- Jurassic Park 8-BIT (Nintendo Entertainment Center / NES)
- Jurassic Park PORTABLE (Nintendo Game Boy)
- Jurassic Park 16-BIT (Super Nintendo Enteretainment Center / SNES)
- Jurassic Park GENESIS (Sega Genesis)
- Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues 16-BIT (SNES)
- Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues PORTABLE (SNES)
- Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition GENESIS (Sega Genesis)
In this video, I’ll be trying my hand at each version and showcasing a few of the modern upgrades Limited Run Games has added to the Classic Games Collection — like Save Game and Rewind. Spoiler: they’re all as fun to play as they are challenging!
Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is available now for digital download on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
There’s something weird about one of the games that are included in this digital re-release. On the listed versions of “Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues”, it shows the SNES version and something called SNES Portable. What is SNES Portable? The only problem with that is this: the SNES gaming system wasn’t designed to be portable. The only portable Nintendo gaming system at the time “Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues” came out was the Nintendo Game Boy. This sounds like a Grade-A typo to me…
