After a killer second Jurassic World Rebirth trailer, I was inspired to grab some of the new Mattel figures and head outdoors to partake in one of my all-time favorite hobbies: toy photography! Armed with my Lab Lockdown T.rex, an off-brand toy raft and some hapless victims, I set out to find water. Check out the results below and let me know what you think in the comments!
The Chase: Part 1 — For a few agonizing seconds, their raft seemed to drift listlessly as the T.rex entered the water. It lumbered forward towards them, producing a swell of water that mercifully pushed the raft into the river’s current.
The Chase: Part 2 — The river swept the raft along, but not fast enough. Even in deepening water the T.rex quickly closed the gap, never breaking eye contact with the float. Hold onto something!
The Chase: Part 3 — The T.rex’s massive head dipped lower into the water before surging upward, clipping the edge of the raft and sending a chorus of terrified screams into the air. Rivulets poured off the Rex’s hulking body as it slowly rose above the waterline.
Bonus: I edited the still images over the audio from river scene in Jurassic World Rebirth’s trailer, and it actually works quite well as a little video!
